Redtop Company, L.L.C. 2000-2001
Medical/Mental Health information systems start-up focused on integrated delivery systems and databases for the mental health continuum of care, with approximately 30 employees.

AT&T WorldNet® Services: Internet Industry Structure & Internet Public Policy 1996-2000
Responsible for all public policy issues affecting AT&T WorldNet's revenue/cost structure and continuous assessment of the Internet industry structure for possible disruptive technologies and trends.

  • CREATED the AT&T WorldNet® Privacy Policy and COLLABORATED with others to create overall AT&T Privacy Policy with implementations throughout all AT&T systems to ensure customer privacy.
  • NAMED and PARTICIPATED in “www.getnetwise.org”, a site created by Internet Service and Network suppliers, such as MCI/Worldcom, Microsoft, AOL, etc., that enables children’s Internet safety.
  • CONTRIBUTED to development of P3P, an industry privacy standard in the process of being mandated by the U.S. Congress, and SPEARHEADED AT&T’s implementation of it.

AT&T Emerging Services: Strategic Planning – Internet & E-Commerce 1994-1996
Responsible for strategy and implementation plan for AT&T’s entrance into the Internet Service Provider (ISP) market (AT&T WorldNet® Services), requiring senior executive and board-level approval and funding.

  • FORMULATED AT&T’s E-Commerce and Internet Strategy, business plan and eventually network architecture, involving discovery of the evolving Internet Value System. Led business development activities for realization, and identification of key potential traditional and non-traditional opportunities and threats, performing detailed competitive assessments that resulted in the creation of AT&T WorldNet Services.
  • DESIGNED economic model for determining potential Internet settlement and pricing schemes, along with Quality of Service (QoS) that enables effective and realistic ISP business modeling.
  • CONCEIVED and IMPLEMENTED formation of IOPS.ORG (Internet Service Provider (ISP) consortium consisting of national and regional backbone ISPs) that ensures the reliability, security, and availability of the Internet.

AT&T Easylink & Business Multimedia Services: Strategic & Business Planning 1988-1994
Responsible for internal AT&T global messaging strategy and implementation as well as several of AT&T's top multinational clients.

  • DEVELOPED business strategies and ARCHITECTED e-messaging network design. This enabled both cost savings and increased productivity within and among Fortune 100 multinational corporations. Doubled AT&T market share in this industry.

AT&T Bell Laboratories: Member of Technical Staff 1982-1988
Responsible for systems engineering of multimedia electronic messaging and information exchange systems.

  • PATENTED architectural platform for AT&T's Global Messaging Network called the Unified Messaging Architecture (UMA) integrating voice, data, image, video messaging.
